Whistle while you work.
If I were stranded on a island the record I would bring is Copeland: You are my Sunshine. This is one of those albums that you can listen to over and over again and it will never get old. I was introduced to this band my senior year of high school and was skeptical at first but after repeatedly listening to the album I got hooked. After high school I did a year of mission work and my work eventually led me to Mexico. During my week their I would listen to this album as I was constructing a grotto for the town I was in. At night I would also lay in my hammock and fall asleep listening to this album. Still to this day the songs never get old and if this were ever to happen I would be better off with it because it keeps me mellow and always reminds me of good times. On the other hand another one of my favorite albums that I can always listen to is G-Units first album. I don't know what it is but I can always jam and sing along to it. Although, I don't know if it would put me at ease or help me sleep so Copeland it is.

I also love this album. I like how you considered that you would need to be able to fall asleep to the album in order to bring it with you to the island. However, I wonder if you've considered that listening to the album over and over again would probably eventually ruin it for you. For this reason, I would pick an album by an artist that I enjoyed, but didn't necessarily love. This way I wouldn't be heart broken when the album was ruined for me!
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely one of the best albums that could have been picked if you had to listen to it for the rest of your life. It is a great album to not only chill out to, but also to get into a groove when working to build things on the island, etc. I would do the same thing as you and pick an album that is easy listening but also has some upbeat songs to keep me motivated in whatever I am doing.
